The Cross Cultural Foundation (CrCF), Duayjai Group, HAP, JASAD, and the Muslim Attorney Centre Foundation have jointly submitted a report to the United Nations Committee Against Torture for its 81st session, held from 28 October to 22 November 2024. Thailand’s review is scheduled for 5 and 6 November 2024.

The report focuses on torture and degrading treatment, particularly in the deep south of Thailand. Key issues include arbitrary detention under special security laws, torture, death in custody, enforced disappearances, admissibility of evidence, prison conditions, impunity, remedy, and recommendations.
