The case of the arrest of 7 students in Yala, 2 out of 5 of them have warrants under the Criminal Code. In early 2008, all five students were detained to confess. as a suspected insurgent After the 7-day detention period under martial law was over, the security department did not request the court to continue detention under the Emergency Decree. The investigation was opened on 2 sides, and all 5 students were released first. About a year later, 2 students, one of whom proved the wounds from torture, sued the Royal Thai Army and the Ministry of Defense at the Civil Court after fighting the case for almost 3 years in Finally, the Songkhla Provincial Administrative Court ordered the Royal Thai Army to pay damages to the two plaintiffs.
