Amphon Tangnoppakul, often referred to as Akong is a Thai man known for allegedly sending four short mobile messages in mid-2010 to Somkiat Krongwattanasook, Abhisit Vejjajiva's secretary, prime minister at that time containing content that defames, insults or threatens the King and Queen which is an offense under Section 112 of the Criminal Code and the Computer Crimes Act. Later he was sentenced to twenty years in prison by the Criminal Court and even died in prison.
