Tak Bai Incident

The Tak Bai case was a violent incident in Tak Bai district. Narathiwat Province, October 25, 2004. The incident started with a rally to demand justice for the village security team of 6 people who were arrested. There were thousands of onlookers in that area until the military had to cordon off the area and disperse the demonstrations. Six people were killed in the protest area, after which 1,370 protesters were arrested, at least 85 people were killed and about 1,300 were arrested.
