Sister of Wanchalearm requests for an appointment with Cambodia Ambassador to update the enforced disappearance case of Wanchalearm Satsaksit at Cambodia Embassy on 2 June 10:00

It has been two years now since Wanchalearm Satsaksit, Thai activist who went to exile in Cambodia and was enforced disappearance in front of his apartment in Phnom Penh on June 4, 2020. At the moment, Sitanun Satsaksit, the sister of Wanchalearm, was informed by the Office of the Attorney General that the case is under the investigation of Phnom Penh Municipal Court. However, she did not receive any further details and would like to be clarified on her brother’s fate.

Cross Cultural Foundation together with Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, has been assisting Sitanun Satsaksit in finding the truth about her brother and we also advocate for the protection of human rights in Thailand for decades.

To relieve the pain and suffering of Wanchalearm’s family, she is requesting to meet Cambodian Ambassador on June 2, 2022 at 10.00 at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Bangkok to discuss the current status of Wanchalearm Satsaksit case.

Meanwhile, the case was also adopted as an urgent action by Amnesty International since 2020. Members of Amnesty International submitted urgent action letter to the Royal Cambodian to raise the concern on this important case.
