Declaration of Emergency Situation in Bangkok

As it is apparent that there is a group of people conducting the activities which cause disturbance and lead to disorder within the country including do not have a good effect to the State Administration and the trust in the economic system, the commission of the act has effect on public order and endangers to the security of the State including affects to the democracy development process and the exercise of rights and liberties of innocent people. Therefore, there is the urgent need to promptly resolve the problem.

By the virtue of Section 5 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situation, B.E.2005, which is the law prescribing some provisions regarding the restriction of rights and liberties of people and Section 29 in conjunction with Sections 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 41, 43, 45 and 63 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand allows to do so. By the virtue of law, the Prime Minister,

Therefore, declared the Emergency Situation in the area of Bangkok from now on.
