Prime Minister Order

 

No. 195/2551 (2008)

 

Subject: Appointment of the Competent Officials responsible in remedying the emergency situation

 

 

            Pursuant to the declaration of emergency situation in Bangkok, by the virtue of Sections 7 paragraph 3 and Section 15 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situation, B.E. 2005 which is the law prescribing some provisions regarding the restrictions of rights and liberties of people and Section 29 in conjunction with Sections 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 41, 43, 45 and 63 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand allows to do so. By the virtue of law, the Prime Minister orders:

 

  1. There shall be military, police and civilian officials, operating in the area declared the emergency situation, to be the competent officials under the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situation, B.E. 2005 and have a duty to perform as specified in the Emergency Decree and legislation the Prime Minister is acting as a person in charge, as necessary to resolve the situation;

 

  1. There shall be the competent officials the Chief Officials have appointed to be the a competent official under the penal code and shall have the powers and duties of an administrative official or police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code except the power of inquiry that can be exercised by the Competent Officials at least level 3 for civilian officials, the rank at least Second Lieutenant, Sub-Lieutenant and Pilot Officer for military officials and Police Sub-Lieutenant for the police officers.

 

 

Therefore the Order is effective from now,
